Reformed Episcopal Church Mission Statement |
Sweet, Pleasant, and Unspeakable Comfort
by Mark Woolsey
There is a promise given in the Thirty-nine Articles that is of great moment,
and yet it is routinely ignored, eviscerated, or denied.
It may be surprising to refer to any section of the articles as a promise
since they are normally used (when used at all) to define the theological
boundaries of the Anglican Church.
They contain declarations, anathemas, definitions, fine distinctions, and

enjoyed through Christ, as because it doth fervently kindle their love towards
God
